Leo and Mary Ruth Mayfield Legacy Society
Founded in 2010, the Legacy Society was named for longtime superintendent Leo Mayfield, a guiding spirit for Putnam City Schools Foundation during years of rapid expansion, and his wife Mary Ruth, an art teacher for many years.

Founded by longtime PC counselor Penny Poe, Penny’s Closet provides coats, gloves, socks, and shoes to needy students. Penny understood that children can’t learn without their basic needs covered. We’re so grateful for Penny’s vision!
